Who is Galileo Galilei?

Galileo Galilei was a super-smart person who helped us understand how the world works, just like when you figure out why your toy car goes faster on a smooth floor than on a carpet.

He was like a detective of the universe, looking at things that no one else had noticed before. He used telescopes, which are like super-powerful magnifying glasses, to look at the Moon and the stars. It was as if he had a window into the sky!

Galileo believed that the Earth wasn’t the center of everything, it was just one of many planets going around the Sun. This idea was very important because it changed how people thought about space.

He also loved doing experiments, like dropping things from high places to see which fell faster. He found out that all objects fall at the same speed if there’s no wind or air, kind of like how your cereal falls into your bowl whether you pour it slowly or quickly!
