Provocation is when someone says or does something that makes you want to react, like it bugs you just enough to make you say or do something back.
Imagine you're playing with your favorite toy, and your brother suddenly takes it from you. That's provocation, he did something that made you want to respond, maybe by shouting, grabbing it back, or even laughing.
Like a Little Argument
It's Like a Bounce
Sometimes provocation is like when you bounce a ball. You hit it, and it bounces back. One person says or does something, and the other responds, that’s the bounce of provocation!
Examples
