What is handprint?

Handprint is when you use your hand to leave a mark or shape on something, like how your hand makes a print when it touches paper and ink.

Imagine you're playing with paint. You press your whole hand onto a piece of paper, squishy fingers, palm, even your wrist, and then you lift it up. What's left is a handprint, like a picture of your hand made from color or ink.

Think about when you write with your finger on a window, maybe to draw a smiley face. That’s also like a handprint, but instead of ink, it's just your finger and the water from the window. You're leaving behind something that shows where your hand was.

Handprints are fun because they’re easy to make and always look like you. They help you remember who made them, kind of like a special sign only you can leave!
