There are so many insects because they're really good at growing and having lots of babies, like a tiny, busy factory that never stops working!
Imagine you have a cookie jar full of cookies, and every time you take one, two more grow in its place. That’s kind of how insects work, they can make many new insects from just one.
How Insects Multiply
Some insects, like ants or bees, live together in big groups called colonies, which means there are lots of them working together to take care of each other and grow more insects. It's like having a whole team of cookie makers!
Also, many insects don’t need a lot of help to have babies, some just lay eggs wherever they go, and the next thing you know, there are hundreds of new little bugs crawling around.
In fact, if one insect had 10 babies, and each of those 10 had 10 babies too, that would be 100 in just two generations! That’s like going from a small snack to a big feast, fast and full of insects!
