The Protestant Reformation was like a big group of kids who decided to start their own club because they didn’t like how the main club was running things.
Imagine you’re in school, and there’s one teacher who everyone listens to. But some kids think the teacher is being unfair or not explaining things clearly. So those kids decide to create a new way of learning, that's what happened with the Protestant Reformation. Some people didn’t like how the church was making rules about religion, so they started their own version of belief and worship.
Like a New Playground Rule
Before the Protestant Reformation, most people followed one main rulebook for religion, it was like having only one set of playground rules everyone had to follow. But during the Protestant Reformation, some kids (and grown-ups) said, “We can have our own rules!” They started new ways of thinking about God and how to pray or worship, kind of like creating a new game on the playground.
This change helped more people understand religion in their own way, just like having different games makes playtime more fun for everyone.
