Shadows happen when something blocks the light. Imagine you're standing in a room with a bright lamp on. If you put your hand in front of the lamp, it stops some of the light from reaching the wall, and that’s where the shadow appears! It's like when someone stands between you and the sun, they block the light and make a dark shape behind them.
Examples
- When your friend stands between you and the light, you see their shadow on the floor.
