What is wild?

What is wild? It’s when something happens that feels surprising or untamed, like a squirrel suddenly jumping from a tree to your shoulder.

Imagine you're playing with your favorite toy car on the floor. Everything is calm, bzzzt, it goes forward, beep, it turns. But then, out of nowhere, your dog jumps in and knocks it over! That’s wild, it wasn’t planned, and it felt exciting and a little messy.

When Things Go Wild

Sometimes, wild things happen because there’s more going on than you expect. Like when you’re eating ice cream, and suddenly the sky turns dark and starts raining, but not just rain, big drops that feel like they're hitting your face! That’s wild, too.

Wild Can Be Fun

You might even feel a little bit scared or surprised when something is wild, but it can also be really fun. Like when you’re riding your bike and suddenly take off down a hill, flying through the air for a second before landing with a thud!

So remember: wild means things are happening in a way that feels surprising, exciting, or even a little messy, but that’s what makes it so much fun!
