Like Trying to Catch a Squirrel
Imagine you're trying to catch a squirrel in your backyard. You know it's a squirrel because it has fluffy fur, runs fast, and likes nuts, but sometimes it acts like a rabbit or a bird! Similarly, terrorism can look different depending on who is doing it and why.
Sometimes, people might throw rocks at a store to make others nervous. That could be terrorism if they’re trying to send a message or cause chaos. But if you're just playing with your friend in the park and throwing rocks for fun, that's not terrorism, it's just playtime!
So, defining terrorism is like naming all the squirrels, rabbits, and birds you see, it’s helpful but can get a little messy!
Examples
