What is truth?

Truth is what happens when things match up with what we believe or say about them.

Imagine you have a red ball. If you say, "This is a red ball," and it really is a red ball, then your words are matching the real thing, that’s truth!

Now, sometimes people might say something that doesn’t match up with what's actually happening. Like if you said, "This is a blue ball," but it's still red, that’s not truth yet.

What Makes Something True?

Sometimes you can tell something is true because you see it or feel it. Like when you touch the ball and know for sure it's red. That's like having proof in your hand!

Other times, people believe things are true even if they're not sure, maybe they heard someone else say it. But truth doesn’t always need to be perfect, just real.

Truth Changes

Sometimes what we think is true changes when we learn more. Like if you thought the ball was red, but then a friend shows you it’s actually orange under a special light, now that's new truth!

Truth is like a game of matching, and sometimes you get to change your cards!
