What is Malware?

Malware is like a sneaky guest who comes into your house and messes up your toys without asking.

Imagine you have a special toy box that keeps all your favorite toys safe. One day, you notice some of your toys are missing or broken, and it wasn’t you who did it! That’s what malware does: it sneaks into your computer or phone, and starts making trouble with the things you use.

How Malware Sneaks In

Sometimes, malware hides in a game or app that looks fun. When you click on it, just like opening a gift, it comes inside and starts working its magic, but not real magic. It might slow your computer down, steal your passwords, or even make your screen go all wiggly!

What Malware Can Do

Malware is like that tricky friend who takes your snack without asking. Once it’s in, it can do lots of things:

  • Make your computer work very slowly
  • Steal your game coins or online passwords
  • Send messages from your phone without you knowing

But don’t worry, just like you can keep your toys safe, there are ways to stop malware too!
