What Is Length, Height & Width?

Length, height, and width are like the special tools we use to describe how big something is, just like when you play with your building blocks.

Length is like how long a block is from one end to the other. Imagine laying your block on the floor, that’s its length. It's like counting how many steps you take from your bed to the door.

Height is how tall something is, like when you stand up straight and reach for the sky. If you put a block on top of another block, you're making it taller, that’s its height. It's like trying to touch the ceiling while standing on tiptoe.

Width is how wide something is from one side to the other. Imagine hugging your block, that’s its width. It's like how many of your toys can fit across the floor in a line next to each other.

Together, these three help us picture how big or small things are, just like when you build a tower with blocks and say, "Look how long, tall, and wide my castle is!"
