Join is when you put two groups together to make one bigger group.
Imagine you and your friend are playing with blocks. You have a pile of red blocks, and your friend has a pile of blue blocks. A join would be like combining both piles into one big pile, now you have red and blue blocks all mixed in.

Joining by Name
Sometimes when you join groups, you match them by something in common, like names. Imagine one group has your friends’ names and their favorite games. Another group has your friends’ names and what they wear to school. When you join these two groups by name, you get a list that tells you both what game each friend likes and what they wear, just like a super-detailed friend profile!
That’s how join works: combining or matching information from different places into one place!
Examples
- Joining two lists of names to make a bigger list
- Putting together puzzle pieces from different boxes
- Combining two groups of friends for a party
