What's in Bread?
Flour comes from grains, like wheat. Imagine you're crushing up a tiny grain with your hands, that’s what happens to make flour. When you mix it with water, it becomes sticky and soft, like wet clay.
Sometimes, people add yeast, which is like a little helper that makes the bread rise. It works quietly in the background, making tiny bubbles inside the dough so the bread gets fluffy.
How Bread Becomes Bread
When the dough goes into the oven, it gets hot, just like when you put your hand near a toaster. The heat helps the flour and water become solid, turning the sticky mix into something you can eat.
Once it’s done, you take a bite, and it’s warm, soft, or maybe even crunchy on the outside, like a hug from the oven!
