What is automatic?

Automatic means something happens by itself, without you having to do anything extra.

Imagine you have a toy car that moves when you press a button, that’s not automatic. But if the toy car starts moving as soon as you turn on your toy box, and keeps going until it reaches the end of the track, then that's automatic! It does all the work by itself.

Think about a smart backpack that opens when you walk into the classroom, no need to pull on the straps or push any buttons. The backpack senses your movement and opens up automatically, just like how your toy car moves without you touching it again.

Automatic things are like helpful friends who know exactly what to do when it's time for them to act, they don’t wait for someone else to tell them what to do. They just go ahead and do it!
