What is automated?

Automated means something happens by itself, without you having to push a button or do anything.

Imagine you have a toy car that moves on its own when you press a switch. That’s like the beginning of automation, you start it, and then it does the work. Now imagine your toy car has a little robot inside it that knows exactly where to go and stops when it gets there, without anyone telling it what to do. That’s fully automated.

Think of your favorite bedtime story, the one with the enchanted forest. But instead of magic, there's a smart machine in each tree. When you say “good night,” all the trees light up and play soft music on their own. That’s automation! It’s like having a helper who knows exactly what to do when.

When your mom makes lunch every day, she uses the same steps, cut the bread, spread the jam, put it together. Now imagine there's a little machine that does all of those steps for her, without her even being there. That’s automation too! It helps people save time and do things faster.
