What is alarm?

An alarm is like a loud friend who wakes you up when it’s time to get ready for the day.

Imagine you have a little robot buddy named Buzz. Every morning at 7 o’clock, Buzz starts singing a happy song and shouting “Wake up! It’s time to play!” That’s what an alarm does, it makes noise so you know it’s time to do something important, like going to school or getting dressed.

How Alarms Work

Alarms are like clocks with voices. You set them to a certain time by pressing buttons or turning a knob. When the time comes, the clock starts making noise, beep beep, or maybe it plays your favorite song!

Sometimes you can use an alarm on your phone or watch. It’s like having Buzz inside your pocket, ready to wake you up whenever you want.

If you don’t turn off the alarm, it will keep going “beep beep” until you do, just like how Buzz keeps singing until you say, “Okay, I’m awake!”
