Imagine you're playing a game with your classmates. You have one friend, and that's just you and one other person. Then you get two more friends, so now there are three people, you, your first friend, and the second one.
If you keep adding more friends to the group: 4, 5, all the way up until you have 10 friends all together, that's 10 people! It’s like when you count your fingers on both hands. Each finger is a person, and if you count them all, you get 10.
Why it matters
