What are special situations?

Special situations are times when things don’t go as usual, and that makes them extra fun or interesting.

Imagine you’re playing a game where everyone has to take turns. Most of the time, it’s just one person at a time, like passing a ball around in a circle. But sometimes, there are special situations, maybe two people can play together at once, or someone gets to skip a turn! That makes the game more exciting and different.

Think about getting candy from your parents after dinner. Usually, they give you one piece. But sometimes, it’s a special situation, like when you’ve been really good all week, and they give you two pieces instead! That's not the usual way, but it happens because of something special.

Special situations are kind of like when the rules change just for a little while. It’s not magic, it’s just that sometimes, life (or games or candy) has surprises, and that makes everything more fun!
