What are silencers?

A silencer is like a quiet helper that makes loud noises softer, almost like when you cover your mouth while laughing.

Imagine you have a toy car that goes VROOOOM! every time you press the button. That’s how a regular gun sounds, really loud. Now imagine putting a soft blanket over the front of the car. It still moves, but it doesn’t make as much noise. That’s what a silencer does to a gun.

How Silencers Work

A silencer is like a special tube that goes on the end of a gun. When the gun fires, the bullet zooms out, and there’s also a loud bang from the air moving really fast. The silencer catches some of that fast-moving air and slows it down, making the bang softer.

It’s like putting your hand over a whistle, you can still hear it, but not as loudly.

Why People Use Silencers

People use silencers so they can shoot without making too much noise. It helps them be sneaky or surprise someone, just like how you might whisper to a friend instead of shouting.
