How do Speakers Work -- ANIMATION?

A speaker is like a magical talking drum that makes sound from electricity.

Imagine you have a big, empty balloon, it's soft and can stretch easily. Now imagine this balloon is inside a box with two tight walls. When you shake the balloon fast, the air inside moves and pushes against the walls, boom, you hear a sound!

That’s like how a speaker works. Inside the speaker, there’s a special kind of balloon, called a cone (it looks like a cone from your ice cream!). When electricity comes in, it makes the cone vibrate really fast, back and forth, back and forth.

These vibrations push the air around them, just like shaking the balloon. The air moves, and that’s how we hear music, voices, or any sound coming out of the speaker.

Why It Matters

Speakers are everywhere, in your phone, your TV, even your toy robot! They turn invisible electricity into sounds you can hear and dance to. It’s like turning a secret message (electricity) into a loud, fun party (sound)!
