What are rewards?

Rewards are things you get when you do something good or finish a job.

Imagine you're helping your mom clean up your room. After you pick up all your toys and make your bed, she gives you ice cream, that's a reward! It’s like a special thank-you for doing what you were asked to do. Rewards can be anything fun or nice: stickers, extra playtime, even a hug.

What Makes a Reward Special?

A good reward is something you really want or enjoy. If you love chocolate, getting a chocolate bar after finishing your homework feels super special. But if you don’t like chocolate and get it anyway, it might not feel as rewarding.

Rewards help you remember to do things you might not always want to do, like cleaning your room or practicing piano. They make the hard parts easier because you know something fun is waiting for you at the end!
