What are personal reasons?

Personal reasons are the special things that make you want to do something because they matter to you.

Imagine you have two favorite toys: a shiny red car and a soft blue bear. One day, your friend says you can only pick one toy to take on a trip. You choose the blue bear because it makes you feel safe and happy when you're away from home. That’s a personal reason, you picked the bear not just because it's nice, but because it feels like you.

Why Personal Reasons Matter

Sometimes, people do things for big reasons like money or fame, but personal reasons are about what makes you feel good inside. Like when you choose your favorite flavor of ice cream instead of the one everyone else likes, that’s your choice, and it makes you happy!

Other times, your feelings or memories can be a personal reason too. Maybe you want to go to the park because you remember playing there with your brother and laughing until your sides hurt. That memory is like a warm blanket, it wraps around you and makes you want to go back.

Personal reasons are all about what you love, need, or remember, and that’s very special!
