Internal landscapes are like secret gardens inside your brain that help you feel and think.
Imagine you have a toy box full of different kinds of toys, cars, blocks, dolls, and balls. Each toy makes you feel or act differently. When you're happy, it's like playing with your favorite doll; when you're sad, it's like looking at a broken toy. Your internal landscapes are like those toy boxes inside your head. They hold all the feelings, thoughts, and memories that make you who you are.
Like Having Different Rooms
Think of your brain as a big house with many rooms. Each room is a different part of your internal landscape. One room might be where you feel brave, like when you ride your bike without training wheels. Another room might be where you feel shy, like when you have to say "hello" to a new friend.
Sometimes the rooms are bright and sunny, that’s when you're happy or excited. Other times, they can be dark and quiet, that's when you're tired or sad. These different rooms help you understand how you feel and why you act the way you do.
Examples
