What are ideas?

An idea is like a picture you draw in your mind when you imagine something new or different.

Imagine you have a box full of blocks, some are red, some are blue, and they’re all different shapes. When you play with them, you might stack them up to make a tower, or line them up to make a road. That’s just playing. But sometimes, you look at the blocks and say, “What if I make a castle instead?”, that’s an idea! It's like saying, "I want to try something new."

How Ideas Work

When you have an idea, it’s like having a plan in your head. You might think, “If I put the big block at the bottom and add smaller ones on top, it’ll be stronger.” That plan is your idea, it helps you build better.

Sometimes, ideas come from seeing something else. Maybe you see a bird flying, and you say, "I wish I could fly too!" That’s an idea that makes you imagine being like the bird.

Ideas help you try new things, just like how blocks help you build cool stuff!
