What are health issues?

Health issues are problems that happen inside your body and can make it harder for you to do things you enjoy.

Your body is like a toy box full of different toys, each doing its own job. When one of those toys breaks or doesn’t work as well as it should, that’s a health issue. It's like when your favorite lego car stops moving because the wheels are loose, it still looks cool, but it can't go as far.

What Health Issues Feel Like

Sometimes you might feel tired all the time, like after playing for hours and not getting enough rest. That’s a health issue called being too tired. Or maybe your tummy hurts when you eat something spicy, that's another kind of health issue, like when your favorite cookie tastes too hot.

Why Health Issues Happen

Sometimes health issues happen because you did something fun, like eating too much candy or running around outside for a long time. Other times, they can be from things you don’t notice, like not getting enough sleep or not drinking enough water.

Just like you fix your toy box by putting the right pieces back in place, doctors and nurses help fix health issues so you can play and have fun again!
