How does your sleep and food affect you?

Your body needs sleep and food to be strong and happy, just like a toy needs batteries and a charger.

Sleep is your body’s rest time

When you sleep, your brain goes on vacation. It fixes things that got tired during the day, like when you’re playing too much or thinking too hard. If you don’t get enough sleep, it's like not charging your tablet, you feel grumpy and can't think clearly.

Food is your body’s fuel

Food gives your body energy to run, jump, and play all day long. Think of food like the battery in a toy car, when you eat, you’re putting more power into your body so it can keep going. If you don’t eat enough, your body runs out of power, and you might feel weak or tired.

If you get enough sleep and good food, your brain and body work like a well-oiled machine, ready for anything!
