What are behavior patterns?

A behavior pattern is like a special recipe that tells you how to act or react in certain situations, and it stays the same every time.

Imagine you have a favorite toy, let's say a teddy bear. Every day after school, you always go straight to your room, take off your shoes, sit on your bed, and then hug your teddy bear while you eat a snack. That’s your behavior pattern, it's the same steps every time, just like following a recipe for cookies.

What Makes a Pattern Special?
