What are 4, 5, and 6?

4, 5, and 6 are numbers that help us count things around us, like toys or cookies.

Imagine you have a bag of marbles. If there are four marbles in the bag, that means there's a group with as many marbles as your fingers on one hand, except for one finger! A five is like having all five fingers on one hand, and a six is just one more marble added to that full hand.

Counting with Friends

Think of numbers as friends who help you count:

  • If you have 4 friends playing a game, there's room for one more.
  • With 5 friends, everyone can sit on the floor together.
  • When a 6th friend joins in, it’s like saying "we’re having a bigger party!"

Numbers in Play

Numbers are also like steps you take when climbing a staircase:

  • You take 4 steps to reach the first landing.
  • After 5 steps, you're almost there.
  • When you climb 6 steps, you might be at the top!

These numbers help us know how many things we have, and that makes counting fun!
