Changing culture is like turning a big group of friends into a new kind of club, everyone has to agree on what the rules are and how they'll play together.
Imagine your classroom is a culture. Right now, maybe people just sit in their own groups during lunchtime. But if you want it to be a new culture, where everyone plays games together, you need to make sure most of the kids like the new idea.
How to Start the Change
You can begin by showing others how fun the new way is. Maybe you bring a cool new game or show them how to work better in teams. If enough people join in, the whole group will start to change, just like when someone starts a trend with their favorite snack.
Keep It Going
Once a few kids are excited about the new way, they’ll help others see why it’s fun too. That means more people will join in, and soon everyone will be playing together, turning your classroom into a brand-new culture!
Examples
- A family changes their eating habits by adding a new food to their weekly meals.
- A team at work begins having daily check-ins, changing how they communicate.
