A society is like a group of friends playing together, and a culture is what they bring to the game.
Imagine you're in a park with your classmates. All of you are part of the same society, you’re all from the same school, maybe even live near each other. But when you play games, some of you like to build castles with blocks, others prefer running races, and some like to draw pictures on the ground.
That’s your culture, it's what makes your group special and different from another class in a different park. One group might all love drawing, while another loves racing. So even though they're both part of a society, their cultures are different because of how they play and what they enjoy.
How They Work Together
Think of a society like the people in a classroom, everyone is there to learn together. A culture is like the way you all talk, laugh, and do your homework, it's the habits and traditions that make your class feel like your class.
So even if two groups are both from the same school (same society), they can have different ways of learning or having fun (different cultures), just like how you might have a friend who loves drawing, and another who loves running.
Examples
- Different societies may have different cultures, just like some groups might prefer basketball and others football.
