Fertilization is when a mom cell and a dad cell come together to make a new life.
Imagine you have two special tiny balls, one from your mom, and one from your dad. These are called sperm (from the dad) and an egg (from the mom). They’re like little superheroes waiting to meet.
When they meet, it's like a party! The sperm swims through a tiny river inside the body, maybe like swimming in a puddle after a rainstorm. It finds the egg, which is like a cozy home waiting for the sperm to come in.
Once the sperm reaches the egg, they join together. This makes a new cell, it's like mixing two flavors of ice cream to make something totally new and exciting!
This new cell starts growing and becomes a baby inside the mom’s body. And that’s how life begins! 🌟
