Robert Wadlow was the tallest man ever, and he lived a very interesting life.
Imagine you're playing with a toy car, and it's going up a ramp, that’s like how Robert grew! He was born with a special condition called acromegaly, which is when your body makes too much of a certain hormone, causing your bones to keep growing longer than they should. It's kind of like if you kept getting taller every day, but only in some parts of your body, like your arms and legs.
How Big Was He?
Robert was 8 feet 11 inches tall! That’s like stacking six big dolls on top of each other. He wore special shoes that were bigger than most grown-up shoes. His clothes had to be made just for him, because normal clothes wouldn’t fit.
A Life Full Of Adventures
Even though Robert was very tall, he lived a happy life. He liked to play basketball and ride horses. People loved seeing him because he was so big and friendly. But being that tall wasn't always easy, sometimes his legs got sore from walking so much!
Robert lived until he was 22 years old, and even though he didn’t live very long, he became a legend for people all around the world.
