How Does Math Antics - Basic Division Work?

Basic division is like sharing candies equally among friends so everyone gets the same amount.

Imagine you have 12 candies and 4 friends, including you. To divide them, you give each friend the same number of candies until all are gone. In this case, each person gets 3 candies because 12 divided by 4 is 3.

Division works like grouping things up evenly. If you have 15 toy blocks and want to make groups of 5, you can create 3 groups, that’s what division means: finding out how many equal parts a number can be split into.

Think about dividing pizza slices. If there are 8 slices and 2 people, each person gets 4 slices. That's like doing 8 divided by 2, which equals 4.
