Sharing is key
Half in numbers
If there are 10 candies and you take 5, that’s also half. Think about a clock, when it goes from 12 to 6, that’s half of the whole circle.
So whether you're splitting food or counting things, half is just a way of saying "one out of two equal parts."
Examples
- Splitting a pizza into two equal slices for sharing with a friend.
- Dividing 10 candies between two people so each gets the same amount.
- Cutting a piece of paper in half to make a smaller one.
