How It’s Made
Imagine you have a bunch of bamboo sticks, they’re long, green, and a little rough. To make bamboo paper, people first cut the bamboo into pieces and let it sit in water for a while. This softens the fibers inside the bamboo, just like how your skin feels softer after a bath.
Then, they crush the softened bamboo into pulp, think of it like squishing a wet sponge until it’s all flat and gooey. After that, they spread this pulp out on a flat surface and let it dry. As it dries, it becomes paper, smooth, light, and ready to use.
Why It's Special
Bamboo paper is strong but also soft, like the inside of a banana peel. You can write on it with a pencil or draw pictures, just like you do on regular paper. Plus, because bamboo grows so fast, making paper from it is good for the Earth, kind of like using recycled materials, but from nature’s own recycling bin!
