Chain of Infection | How does disease spread?

A chain of infection is like a game where germs travel from one person to another, and it all starts with just one little step.

Imagine you have a friend who has a sneeze, and that sneeze comes out with tiny invisible helpers called germs. These germs can ride on the air or land on your friend’s hand. If your friend touches something, like a toy or a doorknob, those germs go there too.

Now it's your turn! When you touch that same toy or doorknob, the germs jump onto your hands. Then, if you touch your nose or mouth, the germs get in and start their adventure inside your body, which might make you feel sick too!

How the Germs Move

  • The germ starts with a person who is sick, like your friend.
  • They spread it through coughs, sneezes, or even by touching things.
  • You get it when you touch something with germs on it and then touch your face.
  • That’s how the chain of infection keeps going, from person to person, just like a game!

It's like passing around a secret message, but instead of words, it's germs!
