Why Do Some People Hear Voices in Their Heads?

Some people hear voices in their heads because their brain is acting like a radio that's picking up signals it shouldn't. It's like when you turn on the TV and start hearing static or music even though no one is playing it.

What Causes This?

Sometimes, this happens because parts of the brain responsible for thinking and listening get mixed up. They might think they're hearing someone else talk instead of just their own thoughts.
