Mirrors show us the same size because they reflect light perfectly. Think of a mirror like a window, when you look through it, you're still the same size, just on the other side. If you move closer to the mirror, your reflection gets bigger too! It's like looking at yourself in a special kind of window that only shows what's already there.
Examples
- Looking into a mirror while holding a toy car, it still looks like the same size even when you move closer.
- A child standing in front of a mirror sees their full body reflected just as if they were on the other side of the glass.
- You wave your hand near a mirror, and your reflection waves its hand, always at the same scale.
