How Did the Number Zero Change Mathematics?

Imagine you're counting your toys, 1, 2, 3... but what happens when you have none? That's where zero comes in! Before zero, people didn't know how to write or count the absence of something. When zero was added, it made math much easier and opened up new ways to solve problems.

Why Zero Matters

Without zero, we couldn’t do big calculations, like adding 100 + 200. We also wouldn't have our phone numbers or even money in the bank. Zero is magic because it lets us build bigger numbers with fewer digits.
