The internet gives us lots of information quickly, like having a super-smart friend always nearby. Before the internet, people had to remember things for longer, but now they can just look up anything with a click or a tap. This helps kids learn faster and adults solve problems more easily, but it might also make them forget things quicker.
Examples
- A child can look up the answer to a math problem instead of working it out on paper.
- An adult can instantly find directions for a trip using a phone app rather than remembering them.
- Someone learns new facts from watching videos online, even if they don’t remember them later.
