Why We Worship Celebrities?

We admire celebrities because they're like superstars in our everyday world, just bigger and more famous.

Imagine you have a favorite toy that makes you laugh every time you play with it. Now imagine someone else has that same toy, but they’re on television, showing everyone how to play with it, and people are laughing along with you. That person is like a celebrity, someone who does something fun or exciting that lots of people enjoy.

Why They're Like Your Favorite Toy

Sometimes celebrities do things that seem really easy, but they practice a lot. It's like how you might practice jumping rope every day until it looks like magic. Celebrities are just people who have worked hard to become really good at what they do, and now people admire them for it.

They're Like Your Best Friend on TV

Celebrities also seem familiar because they share parts of their lives with us. It's like if your best friend started a YouTube channel where they showed everyone how they spent the day. You'd watch that channel because you feel close to them, and maybe even start admiring them too.

So when we worship celebrities, it’s just like loving our favorite toys or best friends, but on television!
