Why We (Sometimes) Wish Those We Love Might Die?

We sometimes wish our loved ones might die because it feels like they're taking up all the fun and space in our lives.

Imagine you have a favorite toy, maybe it’s your favorite car or a really cool blanket. When you’re playing with it, everything is perfect. But then someone else grabs it from you, and now you can’t play with it anymore. That person might be your brother, sister, or even your mom. They are very loved, but sometimes that means they take up all the attention and fun.

Sometimes when we love someone a lot, we feel like they're holding us back from having more fun, just like when you can't play with your favorite toy because it's being used by someone else. It’s not because we don’t love them; it’s because we want to have more fun and more space in our lives.

But guess what? Even if we wish they might die, we still love them, just like you still love your brother even when he takes your toy!
