We need to cut down these trees so we can build something new where they are.
Why Trees Are Like Blocks in a Toy Box
Imagine you have a big toy box full of blocks, and you want to make a castle with them. But someone else is using some of the blocks to build their own tower right next to yours. If you want your castle to be bigger or in a better spot, you might need to take those blocks away, even if it means knocking down part of their tower.
That’s like what happens when we cut down trees. The trees are like blocks that help make the forest strong and full of life. But sometimes, people want to build houses, roads, or schools where the trees are. So they have to move them, just like you might take some blocks from your friend’s tower to make yours better.
Trees Can Grow Back
Sometimes, when we cut down trees, we plant new ones so that more trees can grow in their place. It's kind of like when you take a block out of the toy box and put another one in, the castle still has plenty of blocks to work with!
