Why We Can't Just Let Fire Burn?

Fire is fun, but it can also be wild and unpredictable, like a playful brother who doesn’t know when to stop running.

Imagine you have a big, bright fire in your kitchen. It's warm and cozy, just like when you're baking cookies with Grandma. But if we don't watch it, the fire can grow bigger and bigger, like when you leave your toy trucks on the floor, they start rolling everywhere, knocking things over.

What Fire Needs to Grow

Fire needs three things: fuel, heat, and oxygen. Fuel is like the food for fire, wood, paper, or even your favorite blanket! Oxygen is the air around us, like what you breathe in when you're playing outside.

If we let fire burn too much, it can use up all its fuel and make a big smoke cloud, just like when you blow out a candle and it makes a little puff of smoke. But sometimes, it can even become a wildfire, jumping from one place to another like a game of tag!

So we need to help fire stay friendly, not too wild, not too sleepy! That way, it can keep being fun for everyone. Fire is fun, but it can also be wild and unpredictable, like a playful brother who doesn’t know when to stop running.
