Some people feel like home and others feel like a performance because they act differently when you're around.
Home is like your favorite blanket, soft, familiar, and makes everything better. When someone feels like home, it’s like being with that blanket. They don’t try too hard. They laugh easily, maybe even make silly faces, and you feel safe with them. It's like having a best friend who knows all your secrets.
Performance, on the other hand, is more like a talent show, everyone wants to shine, but it takes effort. When someone feels like performance, they might smile too much or say things that sound extra nice, even if they're not feeling it inside. It's like wearing a costume you’re not used to. You want to be liked, so you try harder.
Sometimes people switch between being home and performance, like when you're with your family versus at school. But that’s okay! Everyone has their own way of showing love, and that makes life more fun.
