Some people are always late because they don’t plan enough time for everything that needs to happen before they leave.
Imagine you’re getting ready for school in the morning. You need to brush your teeth, put on your shoes, grab your backpack, and say goodbye to mom or dad, all before you run out the door. If you only give yourself one minute for all of those things, it’s like trying to eat a whole sandwich in one bite, it just doesn’t work!
Planning is like setting up a race track. If you know how long each part of the race will take, you can set off at the right time and not be late.
Some people are always late because they don’t give themselves enough time to prepare, or they think things will go faster than they actually do, it’s like expecting your toast to pop up in 10 seconds instead of 2 minutes!
But if they plan better, just like you practice counting down from 5 before you jump into the pool, they’ll be on time more often.
