Why Cold Hurts
The Honey Gets Stuck
Inside your phone, there are tiny particles called ions. They carry electricity like tiny trucks delivering packages. In the cold, these trucks move slower and bump into each other more. This creates traffic jams inside the battery. Your phone notices this slow movement and thinks the battery is empty even when it still has juice left.
Fighting the Chill
Your phone also tries to fight back. It warms itself up by using extra power. Imagine wearing a winter coat; you have to burn more calories just to stay warm. Your phone does the same. The screen gets brighter, and the processor works harder. This extra effort uses up the remaining 'honey' faster. So, the battery drops quickly not because the honey is gone, but because it is too cold to pour and your phone is working overtime.
Examples
- Someone leaves their car keys with the smart tracker inside during winter, and it wakes up less often.
