Earth is getting warmer because we’re using up energy from things like cars and power plants, which makes extra heat in the air. This is called climate change. Sometimes, even if we stop adding more heat, Earth can still keep getting warmer for a while.
How Geoengineering Helps
Geoengineering is like wearing a big umbrella when it rains too hard, it helps reduce how much heat reaches us. One way to do this is by putting special particles in the air that reflect some of the sunlight back into space. This makes Earth feel cooler, just like how wearing a hat on a sunny day can make your head feel less hot.
It’s not magic, it's more like using tricks to help Earth stay comfortable again.
