Why is "deglobalization" a recent trend in the world economy?

Globalization is like when all your friends from different neighborhoods come over to play at your house, everyone shares toys and snacks. Now, deglobalization is like when they start going back home because they’re tired of playing so much.

What does that mean?

Imagine you have a toy box filled with blocks, balls, and puzzles, all from different places. That’s how the world used to be: countries shared resources and goods easily, just like friends sharing toys. But now, some kids are saying, “I want my own toy box back!” So they start taking their favorite toys home.

Why is this happening?

Some people are getting tired of depending on others for things they need. Like if you always borrow pencils from your friend and then one day you lose them all, you might decide to buy your own pencils instead. Countries are doing something similar, they're trying to make more things by themselves rather than relying on other countries.

This is why we see more people talking about deglobalization these days, it’s like a big group of friends deciding it's time to go home and play at their own houses again.
