Why humans are slower than cheetahs
Cheetahs have long, slender legs and special muscles that help them zoom really quickly. Think of it like having super-fast wheels on a bike, they make the cheetah go faster in no time.
Humans, on the other hand, have shorter legs and heavier bodies, which means we need more energy to move fast. It’s like trying to run with a backpack full of books, you get tired quicker!
How we could run faster
If humans had lighter bodies or stronger muscles, we might be able to run as fast as cheetahs! Scientists are even studying ways to help people go faster by using special shoes or training techniques. It’s like giving your legs a power-up, just like in video games!
So, while we can’t run 70 miles an hour right now, with some help and practice, maybe one day we could!
Examples
- If humans had longer legs like cheetahs, we might be able to run faster too.
